IT Infrastructure Security Training
Build practical security skills that matter in real environments
We've been running infrastructure security for UK businesses since 2019. And honestly, we got tired of seeing people leave training courses with certificates but no actual understanding of how security works when things go wrong at 3am.
What You'll Actually Learn
This isn't a certification boot camp. It's six months of working through the same problems we deal with every week. Starting October 2025.
Infrastructure Hardening
Server configurations that survive real attacks. Not textbook examples – the stuff that actually gets exploited. You'll break into deliberately vulnerable systems, then learn to fix them properly.
Network Security Architecture
How to design networks that contain breaches instead of spreading them. We'll walk through three different compromises we've responded to and show you what worked and what didn't.
Incident Response Practice
You'll handle simulated security incidents based on actual cases. The kind where you need to figure out what happened, contain the damage, and explain it to someone who doesn't speak tech.
Compliance That Makes Sense
UK GDPR, Cyber Essentials, and ISO 27001 requirements. But explained as "here's why this rule exists and how to implement it" rather than just checkbox filling.
Who's Teaching This
People who still work in security. Not full-time trainers who left the field years ago.
Callum Brigstock
Senior Security Engineer
Spent seven years securing healthcare infrastructure. Led incident response for a ransomware attack that taught him more in three days than any course ever did. Now helps others learn without going through that stress.
Ffion Rutledge
Infrastructure Security Lead
Previously worked for financial services firms in London. Specializes in building security into systems from the start rather than bolting it on later. Really good at explaining complex networking concepts without making you feel stupid.
Programme Structure
Six months, two evenings per week, plus Saturday workshops every fortnight. We're limiting this to twelve people so everyone gets proper attention.
October - November 2025
Foundations and assessment skills. You'll audit existing systems and learn to spot vulnerabilities that automated tools miss.
December 2025 - January 2026
Network architecture and hardening. Build secure environments from scratch and break them to find weaknesses.
February - March 2026
Incident response scenarios. Handle realistic security breaches with time pressure and incomplete information.
April 2026
Final project – secure a deliberately vulnerable infrastructure for a fictional business, then present your approach.
